Post 180 gram vinyl Rampant Loud n Proud

Has anyone bought the newer vinyl releases of Rampant and loud N Proud on 180 gram vinyl? I just ordered the Loud N Proud gatefold, curious about the sound quality. Thought I would buy one first, before I bought Rampant, just to see. Loud N proud cover is a little different, with the Nazareth logo at the bottom...Looks pretty cool. I think rampant is a gatefold also. Would love to hear other peoples opinion if you have bought these. I wonder if they are going to release more on vinyl? take care Nazmaniacs! Ron

Hi Ron,

I bought Rampant. Like you I was curious as to whether the sound quality would be good and thankfully it is. Salvo have added 'Down' (B side to Love Hurts) on the end of Side 1 and it sounds excellent (I only had this previously on the From The Vaults CD and it's a big improvement - Pete's bass now shakes the room!)

My only slight criticism is the actual artwork. You can see the designer has simply enlarged the image so it's not properly in focus and looks a bit cheap. One thing I loved about the original release on the old Mooncrest label was how fabulous the embossed sleeve was plus the dollar bill and the cool insert with lyrics - you get none of this with the new Salvo edition but if you're after a high quality vinyl pressing then you can't go wrong.

I won't be buying Loud N Proud though as I already bought the Salvo CD edition and am very happy with it.

Cheers

As you can see they've photoshopped the dollar bill but the release can't be faulted for sound quality, it sounds excellent.

I'd like this label to release No Mean City on vinyl including 'Snaefell' :D

Thanks Adam!, for sharing those pics. You made it easy for me, IM BUYING IT!! Rampant looks awesome! I should get Loud N Proud any day now. Was Rampant ever released in a gatefold cover? besides this version of course. I have rampant on A&M but not gatefold. Also my copy of LoudN Proud on the A&M label is not a gatefold either. Thats why Im buying these two newer versions, because they are gatefold. I just think they are really cool! Take Care Adam! Ron
