Hi folks,
as many times before I think we should have this offtopic here again, always fancy searching for music recommendations and curious about your taste in music! 8-)

As for me: I got into jazz quite a lot during last years (well I guess it's also because I work for jazz bands, lol), so in these days I'm mostly listening to famous saxist Jan Garbarek whose concert I'm gonna see tomorrow, Thelonius Monk, Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis, Joe Lovano.

Apart from that I discovered some passion for old classics from Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding.

Amazed by the album Soul I from Seal.

And also listening to Pink Floyd's albums and Roger Waters' solo career. Saw his Wall two years back in Prague - the performance's concept is really modern - using topics like iphones, mcdonalds and it still works. A timeless album, really...

Listening to all sorts at the moment, since upgrading my hifi I seem to be buying more albums than ever before!

Here's the latest batch I've bought:

Daryl Hall - Laughing Down Crying
The Wallflowers - Glad All Over
Alex Lloyd - Watching Angels Mend
Rush - Test For Echo
Rush - Clockwork Angels
Tom Petty - Highway Companion
Goo Goo Dolls - Something For The Rest of Us
Dan Reed - Signal Fire
Cheap Trick - Dream Police

Cool, I was right in front of Dan Reed at the New Years Eve Reunion Concert on December 31, in Portland Oregon... I am amazed that
he is mentioned here on the NAZ forum!!!

The Cult's last album Choice of Weapon is pretty good.
And Savatage always is a good kick in the arse too!

Ive been listening to a fairly unknown band here in the UK but seem to be making waves in the US called The Heavy , a mixture of soul , funk and a little rock thrown in for good measure , check them out on Spotify if you have it .

Stevie Agnew's new album Wreckin Yard - a mixture of Bruce Springsteen , Johnny Cash and Frankie Miller - what more could you want ?

The Jolly boys - Reggae band from Jamaica - Reggae cover versions of songs such as The Passenger - Iggy Pop , Perfect Day - Lou Reed and The Clash. Its worth a listen :-)

!

Small world Nick!!

I would have LOVED to have been at that reunion show! Would have cost a fortune to go over but I read it was filmed for a DVD release so seeing and hearing it in surround sound will make up for it. :)

Been a big Dan Reed fan ever since I heard Rainbow Child in the early 90's. He's touring again here in the UK next month. With both Naz & DR to look forward to March is shaping up to be a great month
